I learned of the death of Mr. Baek Ki-Wan on the Internet.
I just know about him as much as other people know, like he is a activist for democracy, peace and korean unification.
But when I was a highschooler in the 80's. He was considered a communist, even a spy from N. Korea etc.
It took me several decades that I could realize how much we all were manipulated by the military dictatorship regimes.
After I looked into the path he has walked his entire life, I felt like paying tribute to his struggles and commitment for democratic values.
